Research Interests

Cameron's research interests are the effects of shoreline change and sea level rise on coastal ecosystems. Projects with the Shoreline Studies Program involve shoreline protection and marsh and beach restoration through the use of living shoreline systems, which generally have much more positive impacts on coastal fauna than traditional methods. He also runs the program's real-time kinematic (RTK) surveying equipment to conduct GPS-linked shoreline surveys that collect millimeter-accurate elevation data.
