2017 Southeastern Virginia Postdoc Symposium
The Biennial Southeastern Virginia Postdoctoral Symposium will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Watermen's Hall at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester Point, Virginia.
This event will showcase the research from postdoctoral scholars in the tidewater region. In addition, our Symposium will provide career building and networking opportunities with speakers and panelists from academic, private, and government institutions.
This year's event features*:
- Keynote speakers Rick W. Murray (Division Director, NSF Ocean Sciences) and Kendall Powell (Freelance writer and Editor)
- Career building workshop on tips and strategies for pursuing careers in academia, industry, and government
- Oral and poster presentations from postdoctoral researchers
- Social evening program

Registration is closed, however, certain sessions during the symposium will be open to the general public.
