Blogging with cascade
I'm trying to use the Cascade blogging feature detailed on http://www.wm.edu/offices/creativeservices/web/cascade/buildandedit/pages/blog/index.php That page suggests that most blogging at W&M is done through Wordpress while few blogs are run through Cascade. Wordpress seems easier to setup and quicker to update than Cascade's blogging system. It also appears to do indexing, which I have not yet figured out on Cascade.
Some examples:
- http://drf5n.blogs.wm.edu/ is a blog I just set up with W&M's wordpress. -- works.
- http://www.vims.edu/people/forrest_dr/blog/ is one attempt at a Cascade blog index
- http://www.vims.edu/people/forrest_dr/folder-with-listing-blog/ is defunct
- http://www.vims.edu/people/forrest_dr/blog/posts is another
Indexing in cascade lags behind the publishing update cycle. I think I made this blog folder with the cascade "New/VIMS/Listing Folders/Listing Folder - Blog" menu entry, named as "Blog"
I then added "New/VIMS/Blogs/Blog RSS feed" as 'rss', and a few posts with "New/VIMS/Blogs/Blog Post".
